This is pavlova. It is a traditional New Zealand dessert (read: Heaven).

Chocolate Pavlova


Pavlova, or “pav,” is a delicious piece of magic that has a meringue-like outside and a fluffy marshmallow-esque inside. Topped with cream. Topped again with chocolate or, in the summer months, fresh kiwis, strawberries, or raspberries.

I’m not a huge sweets person these days, but I could sit down with a barrel of pav and a spoon and call it a week.
